I have used this tent a quite a few times. I love it. It collapsed once on me and that was when I 1st started camping so I am putting that down to inexperience. It has stood through heavy rain and wind. It is not that heavy to move.
The only problem I had was that the front door I could never get to stay up. I just threw it over the back of the tent.
There is plenty of room for 2 people (I like lots of room).
I have really enjoyed this tent and made a lot of happy memories in it.

Update on my review below: this tent is still going strong a further two years down the line. Two further four day festivals, the last one coinciding with Hurricane Bertha hitting the UK, have meant the old girl has needed a bit of TLC (aka Fabsil) but remains structurally sound, albeit with a couple of duct tape repairs where SOMEONE had managed to burn her with cigarette ends .
Two years ago I said no major issues encountered and we hoped to get another couple of years from this tent, something which has been easily achieved.
Looking forward to 2015 and further trips with what has turned out to be a very good purchase!

Bought this in an emergency (the tent we planned to use basically died!) on a family weekend trip.
Per other reviews, NO WAY is this a 4 man tent! Two adults & a teen max - plus a small dog of course.
Have since used the tent at four 3 or 4 day music festivals and several further family trips.
Has survived thunderstorms and plenty of rain - no leaks in the sleeping area and very few drips into the living space.
Fairly easy to put up unaided - equally easy to dismantle & repack.
Like the compact size, the modest price and surprised by the amount of usable space - at 1.8m, can stand upright no problem. Room for everything we take (and that's a lot!) camping with us.
Why 8 out of 10? Firstly, forgive me for being picky, but shouldn't a 4 berth tent actually sleep 4 berths? Definitely losing marks there.
Also, the zips for the 'doors' are fiddly - almost impossible to pull zips closed without catching something somewhere on the way. Maybe I'm just clumsy?
Oh, and the basic wire pegs supplied with the tent let the side down - buy yourself some better pegs if you have this tent, it'll make life so much easier.
Overall, well worth the purchase price - no major issues in the 4 years we've been using it, am hoping it will continue for a couple more years - it shows every sign of doing so. If you're not brand conscious, based on our experience, the ProAction/Argos tents may be just what you're looking for.

There is a brand new version of this tent available from Argos. It no longer has the PVC windows, and the hydrostatic head is now 1200mm.
We bought this tent in a bit of a hurry. We had spent one night in an 'alleged' 3-man tent that was far to small, and it came down to a choice between packing up and going home, or buying a new, bigger tent.
We chose the latter, went to the nearest Argos (on advice of someone in a local camping shop), and selected this tent as being the right size for the right price.
Putting it up was easy, in spite of my allowing the instructions to blow away on the wind! The sleeping area is a good size, the outer living area is more than adequate to allow two people to shelter from a serious storm, stand up, move around, and keep all the clothing and equipment out of the storm.
We even cooked in the tent!
We did add a couple of extra guy ropes to the high side of the tent, but this was only because we'd pitched the wrong way around. The storm hit that side of the tent and was causing the poles to bend. Given the severity of the storm, I would say this tent rates 10/10 for durability and survivability! When we took it down at the end of the week, there was a very small amount of water inside the sleeping area, which was a lot less than expected, and had happened when one of the pegs pulled out in the wind!
A small amount of rain was also driven under the top-vent cover by the wind, into the living area
The only reason I'm not giving 10/10 overall is because there is no way this tent could sleep four people in any sort of comfort, in any weather!
Very glad we bought it, and will definitely be using it again.

Another Argos cheapo! And again not worth the money. It is easy to put up, is more than enough for two (maximum). Anymore people in it and it is too cosy and cramped. We used it in the Gower, which was very windy and rainy when we put it up. It was easy to put up and withstood the wind, but again it leaked from all the joints where the windows roll up, the inner attaches to the outer and the doors. The zip on the door also broke. I agree with the previous reviewer - buy cheap pay twice.

Bought one of these at a car boot for �12.00. So far have used it twice and as weather was lovely haven't tested it in the rain yet. Wanted a smallish tent that was easy to put up but had enough room to sit in for weekends away. Have put it up on my own but easier with two. Meant to be 4 berth but was more suited to couple or couple with small children. Was enough room in porch area for a table and two chairs and door doubles as a canopy with poles loved that. Just hope it keeps the rain out.

We decided to buy this as a 'test' tent in 2007 to see if we took to camping again. My husband had only been under canvas for two nights prior to this purchase and it had been a long time since I had done any serious camping.
We used it a couple of times in 2007 and a couple of times this summer, but not at all in 2008 (didn't have time to go camping last year!)
We found it to be spacious enough for the two of us and I reckon you could use it for three adults, but definitely not four unless you know each other VERY well and don't use air beds.
The living area was large enough for us to have two chairs, a table and the cooker, along with bags etc.
We had some heavy rain on one of our trips with this tent but there was no leaks through the fabric/seams at all. It also stood up to the wind very well too.
It comes with two canopy poles so you can have the porch door up for shade, or to cook under when it's raining.
The bag that is provided is a bit rubbish. It is very skimped on size to say the least and it takes a lot of determination to get everything back in again! (we wouldn't be beaten!)
Th only thing I would say about this tent that I didn't like was the lack of windows. There is one, but it is quite high up so when you are sat in the tent with the door shut you can't see out! Having said that, there is mesh on one of the two doors which we found helpful as it cuts the breeze down inside the tent, whilst also keeping bugs out.
This tent served its purpose in convincing us that camping was the way forward and we upgraded this year to a larger tent with SIG as we found it to be a bit draughty with not having the sewn in groundsheet, but for the money you pay for this tent, you couldn't possibly complain!
We passed it on to our daughter and son-in-law this summer and hopefully there will be a few years left in it yet for them.
It was amazing value for money. It was a grade 'A' return I found on the internet and paid just over �30 delivered!
Even if you pay full price for this tent, I would recommend it as a starter tent or for people looking to camp on a lower budget.

Our first tent, glad with size and with practice we can have it all up and a beer in hand within 30 mins, as for getting it all back in the bag no chance but the main tent fits back in and I roll inner sleeping part and groundsheet that's fine with me.

After reading the reviews of this tent, I decided that it was worth the risk and the chance of a good buy. Well the tent wasn't particularly difficult to put up, colour coded to make it easier, few hiccups but nothing to worry about. The new tent has the skirt around the bottom so that the wind was not a problem. The bedroom was only really big enough for 3 air beds, though four could fit in if they slept without them, not recommending that though. The door being used as a sun shade was a good idea, worked well. The inside area was big and roomy enough for a table/chairs, a cooker and usual baggage, without any problems.
On the last night it rained constantly, we watched from the bedroom compartment pools of water settling on top of the tent, then watched it gush down the side, must be to do with its design. I really thought we where going to be drowned by the morning, but surprisingly we remained dry throughout the night, admittedly a few drops fell through, into the main area but nothing to worry about. The bedroom stayed dry.
I am really recommending this as a good buy, you couldn't buy a decent coat for the price and keep any warmer or dryer. It also came down very easily, even though it was soaking wet on the outside. Just hung it over the door when we came back, it soon dried out, packed away already for the next adventure. So all in all, you could do a lot worst, like pay 4 times as much for similar design, and be no better off . Perfect for the spring and summer use

Just back from our first trip using this tent. We are a four person family with Children 11 and 4 who looked on very amused as we put the tent up in under an hour! Really pleased with that as we are not seasoned campers! Quite straight forward to erect, although there was no way we could put it back in the bag!. Windy first night - tent held firm although our airbed burst and it was quite a squeeze for four using the one bedroom. Liked the fact you can stand which helps with those of us with back problems. Good Value for money and will definitely use it again.Once I can work out how to put my comfy bed in it!
